Baked Beans
Baked Beans is an impressive dinner. Made with 3 (no. 2 1/2) cans pork and beans, 3 large onions, chopped, 1 bunch green onions, chopped, 3 bell peppers, chopped and 2 hot peppers, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
If time permits, place ingredients in casserole or bean pot, topped with bacon strips and cook 4 hours at 300°.
If time is short, saute all fresh vegetables in seasoned fat.
Add all remaining ingredients and cook at 300° for 2 hours.
Do not cook too dry as juices will thicken some when removed from oven. Yields 12 to 15 servings.
