Baked Alaska
Baked Alaska is an easy dinner. Made with 1 white or yellow cake mix, 1/2 gal. block ice cream, 5 large egg whites, 3/4 c. sugar and 1 tsp. flavoring of your choice (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Make cake as directed on box.
Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Remove from pan; let completely cool.
Slice cake into 4 pieces. Slice ice cream lengthwise, about the thickness of the cake layers.
On one layer, place ice cream.
Place another layer of cake on top.
This will make two cakes.
Wrap one; freeze it for use later.
Beat egg whites until very stiff.
Add sugar and flavoring.
Spread on one cake.
Bake for 3 minutes, or until brown.
Have oven preheated to 500Β°.
