Bacon Cornmeal Biscuits

Sift together the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl.
Cut in margarine or butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Make a well in the center, add milk, onion and bacon.
Stir just until dough clings together.
Knead dough gently on a lightly floured surface, 10 to 12 strokes.
Roll or pat dough to 3/4-inch thickness.
Cut with a 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter, dipping cutter in flour between cuts.
Place on a baking sheet.
Bake in a 450Β° oven for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
