Cream butter.
Add sugar gradually.
Beat well and add egg. Combine dry ingredients into butter mixture.
Fold in vanilla and nuts.
Chill for easy handling.

Place 2-inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Press down with greased or oiled fork.
Bake at 350Β° for 10 to 12 minutes.
Bake in the middle of the oven.
