Aunt Polly's Candy
Aunt Polly'S Candy is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. white sugar, 3 tbsp. cocoa, 1/2 c. crisco, dash of salt and 1/2 c. milk, canned, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Mix sugar, cocoa, syrup, salt and milk.
Cook on low heat until Crisco melts.
Turn on high heat after it starts to boil, then boil for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat; add vanilla and nuts. Place pan in cold water and beat until it thickens.
Drop on wax paper by spoonfuls.
Makes 2 or 3 dozen depending on their size.
