Aunt Alice's Stromboli
Aunt Alice'S Stromboli is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 34 minutes. Made with loaf french bread, small can tomato sauce, (1 lb.) pkg. spicy sausage, mozzarella cheese and small onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Cut bread in half lengthwise
Spread tomato sauce on both sides of the bread
Fry sausage and drain grease, then put on bread
Cut up pieces of onion and green pepper and scatter over sausage
Scatter pepperoni over everything and then cover with Mozzarella cheese
Cover the bread with other piece of bread
Wrap loosely with foil
Bake at 350Β° until cheese melts
If top of bread gets hard, sprinkle a little water on top of bread and put back in oven for a few minutes
Serves 4 to 6.
