Asparagus Bites
Asparagus Bites is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, 3 oz. blue cheese, crumbled, 1 egg, beaten, 1 can asparagus spears, drained and 1 to 2 sticks butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix cream cheese with Blue cheese and egg until well blended. Trim crusts from bread, allowing one slice of bread per spear of asparagus.
Flatten bread with rolling pin.
Spread each slice with the cream cheese mixture.
Place an asparagus spear on each slice and roll up.
Cut each roll into thirds.
Dip in the melted butter.
(May be frozen at this stage.)
Bake at 400Β° for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Bake 30 minutes or until browned, if frozen.
