Apricot Bars
Apricot Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. butter or margarine, 1 c. sugar, 1 egg, 2 c. flour and 1/4 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
Add egg; mix well.
In separate bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Gradually add to butter mixture.
Add coconut, walnuts and vanilla extract; mix thoroughly.
Press 2/3 of dough into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
Spread with preserves; crumble remaining dough over preserves.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 35 minutes.
Cool. Yields 36 bars.
Freezes well.
