Apricot Bars
Apricot Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. margarine (don't use butter), 1 c. sugar, 2 c. flour, 1 1/2 c. coconut and 1/2 c. chopped pecans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cream margarine.
Add sugar and flour; stir in coconut and nuts.
Press 3/4 of the mixture into a 15 x 10-inch ungreased pan and bake for 15 minutes at 350Β°.
After 15 minutes, remove from oven and spread 18 ounces of apricot preserves over crust. Crumble remaining mixture over the preserves and bake for an additional 20 to 30 minutes.
I usually have to keep it in for 30 minutes.
These are super the next day.
