Apricot Bars
Apricot Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. butter, 1 c. sugar, 1 egg, 2 c. flour and 1/4 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar.
In separate bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
Gradually add to butter mixture.
Add coconut, pecans and vanilla.
Mix thoroughly.
Press 2/3 of dough into a greased 9 x 13 pan.
Spread preserves.
Crumble remaining dough over preserves.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes.
Cool in pan. (Makes 36 bars.)
