Applesauce Oatmeal Cookies
Applesauce Oatmeal Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1 c. shortening, 2 eggs, well beaten, 3 1/2 c. flour and 2 c. oatmeal, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream sugar and shortening; add the eggs.
Add the applesauce/soda mixture and mix well.
Sift together flour, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon and add.
Add oatmeal, raisins and nuts last.
Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheets and bake in 400Β° oven for about 12 minutes.
Makes 7 dozen cookies.
