Applesauce Cake

Cream together shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and cream until light.
Sift together flour, salt, baking powder, soda, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Mix applesauce with flour mixture alternately.

Bake in loaf pan at 350Β° until tester is clean. Will make four 6 x 3-inch cakes.
