Applesauce
Applesauce is an easy dinner. Made with 4 medium cooked apples, each cut in fourths, 1/2 c. water, 1/2 c. packed brown sugar or 1/3 to 1/2 c. granulated sugar, 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon and 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Heat apples and water to boiling over medium heat; reduce heat.
Simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally to break up apples, until tender, 5 to 10 minutes.
Stir in remaining ingredients; heat to boil.
Boil and stir for 1 minute.
Makes 4 servings (1 cup each).
