Apple Strudel
Apple Strudel is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (17 1/4 oz.) pkg. frozen puff pastry, 6 to 8 apples, sliced thinly, 1 1/2 c. raisins, 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and 1 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Thaw puff pastry for 20 minutes.
Combine apples, raisins, cinnamon, sugar, nuts and crumbs.
Unfold and roll out each pastry square to 13 x 10-inch rectangle.
Place half the apple mixture along center line of pastry (lengthwise).
Brush edges with beaten egg yolks.
Fold dough over filling, pressing edges together to seal.
Place seam-side down on greased rimmed baking sheet. Repeat with remaining pastry.
Brush tops with egg yolks.
