Apple Snack Cake
Apple Snack Cake is an impressive dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 52 minutes. Made with medium apples, diced, c. white sugar, eggs, well beaten, c. corn oil and c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Cover diced apples with sugar.
Let stand until liquid rises, stirring occasionally, until sugar dissolves.
Blend together eggs and corn oil.
Add to apple-sugar mixture.
Sift together flour, allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and soda.
Add raisins and pecans.
Add flour mixture to apple mixture.
Beat by hand as too much mixing makes it crumble.
Pour into greased 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 50 to 55 minutes.
After it comes out of the oven, poke holes in cake and pour the following sauce over top.
