Apple Salad
Apple Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. flour, 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, with juice, 1 egg, beaten and 2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Beat egg and pour into saucepan.
Add flour, sugar, vinegar and pineapple with juice.
Cook over medium heat, stirring until thick.
Put in refrigerator to cool.
Meanwhile, chop apples (Granny Smith for tartness or Jonathan for color) and do not peel. Fold apples into cooled mixture and add Cool Whip and nuts.
Put into serving bowl.
Sprinkle with nuts.
