Apple Salad
Apple Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained, 2/3 c. sugar, 1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon gelatin (dry), 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese and 1 c. diced apples (unpeeled), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In saucepan, combine pineapple and sugar; bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes; add gelatin and stir until dissolved.
Add cream cheese.
Stir; cool.
Fold in apples, nuts, celery and whipped topping.
Pour into 9-inch pan.
Chill until firm (2 hours or so).
