Apple Salad

Made with (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained, c. sugar, (3 oz.) pkg. lemon gelatin (dry), (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese and c. diced apples (unpeeled), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In saucepan, combine pineapple and sugar; bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes; add gelatin and stir until dissolved.
Add cream cheese.
Stir; cool.
Fold in apples, nuts, celery and whipped topping.
Pour into 9-inch pan.
Chill until firm (2 hours or so).
