Apple Salad
Apple Salad is an moderately easy salad you can prepare in about 1 hour 36 minutes. Made with c. sugar, c. all-purpose flour, large can crushed pineapple, . butter or margarine and (12 oz.) container cool whip, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Sift flour and sugar.
Mix in pineapple with juice.
Cook until thick (4 to 5 minutes).
Add margarine or butter; let cool completely.
Chop apples, one at a time; add to mixture.
Add a little Cool Whip to mixture.
Put in dish.
Cover with remaining Cool Whip; top with nuts and cherries.
You can put half of the nuts in mixture and the other half on top.
Cool 24 hours.
