Apple Salad
Apple Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. flour, 3/4 c. sugar, 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained, 1/2 pt. whipping cream and 1/2 stick butter or margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
In heavy boiler, combine flour, sugar, pineapple, whipping cream and butter.
Cook over low heat until thick, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Add margarine, stirring until melted.
Refrigerate mixture to cool.
Place apples in serving bowl; fold in flour and pineapple mixture.
Garnish salad with nuts and cherries; chill.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
