Apple Pie
Apple Pie is an easy dinner. Made with 3/4 to 1 c. sugar, 1 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg, 6 to 7 c. sliced, pared apples and 1 1/2 tbsp. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Heat oven to 425Β°.
Mix sugar and cinnamon; mix lightly through apples.
Heap up in pastry-lined pan.
Dot with butter.
Cover with top crust which has slits cut in it.
Seal and flute.
Cover edge with 1/2-inch strip of aluminum foil to prevent excessive browning. Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until nicely browned and apples are cooked through.
Makes 9-inch pie.
