Apple Mallow Yams
Apple Mallow Yams is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (17 oz.) cans yams, drained, 1 to 2 apples, peeled and sliced, 1 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped, 1/2 o 1 c. brown sugar and 1/2 to 1 stick butter or margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Grease oblong pan with vegetable oil.
Pour yams evenly in pan followed by apple slices and nuts, then sprinkle brown sugar over apples, yams and nuts.
Place pats of butter over brown sugar. Bake at 350Β° until apples are tender and brown sugar bubbles. When baked, cover apples, yams and nuts with marshmallows.
Put back into oven until marshmallows are golden brown.
