Apple Jelly II
Apple Jelly Ii is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. bottled apple juice, 2 tbsp. lemon juice, 3-inch cinnamon sticks (3 to 6), 12 whole cloves and 5 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Put apple juice, cinnamon sticks and cloves into kettle.
Heat just until boils.
Remove from heat.
Allow to sit for 1 hour.
Strain the juice to remove the cinnamon sticks and the cloves.
Return juice to pan and add lemon juice.
Stir and bring to a boil.
Add sugar all at once.
Stir and return to a full rolling boil.
Boil for 1 minute.
Makes about 6 cups.
Seal in jars with 2-piece lid and ring.
Water bath for 10 minutes.
