Apple Filling
Apple Filling is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1 c. water, 4 tbsp. cornstarch, 3 qts. apples and 1 tsp. cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Combine sugar, water and cornstarch in saucepan; cook and stir until smooth.
Add apples and cinnamon and cook until apples are tender.
Place suitable amount in unbaked pie crust. Top with butter slices, another pie crust, and bake at 400Β° until done.
* You can make pies, wrap completely with foil and freeze.
To bake, thaw at room temperature or refrigerator and bake as usual.
