Apple Dumplings

Fill apple cavities with 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon mixture.
Dot with butter.
Roll out pastry and cut into 7-inch squares.
Place apple on each pastry square.
Boil sugar, water, butter and cinnamon.
Place dumplings in pan; pour hot syrup over dumplings.
Bake 45 minutes in a 425Β° oven.
