Apple Dumplings
Apple Dumplings is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 pared cored golden or red apples, 1 c. sugar, 2 c. water, 3 tbsp. butter and 1 3/4 tsp. cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Roll out pastry to 1/8-inch thickness on a floured surface.
Cut pastry into 6 square sections.
Place an apple in center of each section.
Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.
Fill apple cavities with cinnamon mixture.
Dot with 1 tablespoon butter.
Fold pastry over each apple.
Place in a baking dish.
In a pot, combine 1 cup sugar, water and 3 tablespoons butter.
Boil for 3 minutes.
Pour hot syrup around dumplings.
Bake at 425Β° for 40 to 45 minutes, until browned.
Serve with cream or ice cream.
