Apple Dumplings

Peel, core and halve the apples.
For the dough, mix together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Cut in shortening.
Add milk. Mix and roll like pie dough.
Place apple half on a square of the rolled dough; add 1 pat of butter.
Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over apple and roll dough around apple.
Place in pan.
Repeat for each apple.
