Apple Dumplings
Apple Dumplings is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour, 1/2 c. crisco, 1/4 c. boiling water, 3/4 c. sugar and water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Beat Crisco and 1/4 cup boiling water.
Add flour and mix. Cool.
Divide dough in 4 balls.
Roll out to fill with apples. Combine 3/4 cup sugar with 1/2 kettle full water.
Simmer (a lite syrup).
Combine apples, cinnamon and sweeten to taste.
Mix well. Put apples on rolled out dough.
Roll and make sure the apple ball is closed good.
Drop in syrup and cook very slow (simmer) one or two at a time.
Repeat until all are cooked and are nice and brown. These are great plain or with vanilla ice cream of milk.
These can be baked in oven at 350Β° for 30 minutes.
Cut back on syrup if baked.
