Apple Dumplings
Apple Dumplings is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 3/4 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 5 to 6 tbsp. cold water, 3 c. apples, diced and 2/3 c. less 2 tbsp. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Roll dough as making pie crust using flour, shortening, salt and water.
Roll in one large sheet.
Spread apples over and add cinnamon and half the sugar over top.
Roll dough as for jelly roll.
Cut in 1 1/2-inch wide pieces and place on sides in baking dish.
Add remaining sugar.
Cover with boiling water and bake at 350Β° for about 1/2 hour.
