Butter in 9 x 13-inch pan.
Heat sugar and water until sugar melts.
Shortening flour.
Add milk. Knead a little.
Roll until 1/4-inch thick.
Top with apples and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Roll like jelly roll.
Slice into 1/2-inch slices and in pan with melted butter.
Pour sugar syrup carefully around rolls.
Bake at 350Β° for 45 to 60 minutes.
