Apple Dumplings
Apple Dumplings is an moderately easy dinner. Made with pie dough, 1/2 c. apples per dumpling (any flavor), sugar to taste (either granulated or brown), ground cinnamon and nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Peel, core and either chop or slice the apples.
Mix the apples, sugar, spices and butter together; set aside.
Roll out your pie dough and cut it into 4 or 5-inch squares.
Place the fruit mixture in the center of the square and bring the 2 opposite corners together over the fruit mixture.
Wet the tips of the pastry so that it will stick.
Do the same with the other 2 corners.
Do not seal all the edges or the steam will not be able to escape.
If you do, be sure to use a fork and make steam holes.
