Apple Crunch
Apple Crunch is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 c. thinly sliced apples, 1 tbsp. lemon juice, 1/2 c. maple syrup, divided, 1/2 c. whole wheat or all-purpose flour and 1/4 c. cold butter or margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Place apples in an 8 x 8-inch baking dish.
Drizzle with lemon juice and 6 tablespoons maple syrup.
Mix well; set aside.
Place flour in a medium bowl.
Use pastry blender to cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Stir in oats, nuts, cinnamon and remaining 2 tablespoons maple syrup.
Spoon mixture over apples. Microwave on High 6 minutes.
Rotate dish half turn.
Microwave on High 6 to 7 minutes, until apples are tender.
