Apple Crunch
Apple Crunch is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. light brown sugar, 2 c. oats, 3 c. plus 6 tbsp. flour, 2 c. shortening and 6 c. apples, peeled and sliced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Preheat oven to 375Β°. Combine brown sugar, oats and 3 cups of flour. With fingertips, the shortening. Press half mixture into bottom of a well greased 10 x 15-inch roasting or baking pan.
Combine apples with remaining flour, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and the sugar; spread on top of the oat mixture. and press down remaining oat mixture. Sprinkle with remaining cinnamon and bake for 40 to 50 minutes.
Serve with ice cream.
