In a 9 x 13-inch baking dish, mix together the sugar, water, lemon juice and cinnamon; stir well with fork.
Add peeled and sliced apples.
In a separate bowl, add flour, margarine and salt; mix together well (should be crumbly).
Crumble flour mixture over apples; sprinkle a little cinnamon and sugar on the top.
Bake at 375Β° for 40 to 45 minutes.
