Apple Crisp
Apple Crisp is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. all-purpose flour, 1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar, 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon, 1/4 lb. stick butter and 4 very large red delicious apples, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, brown sugar and cinnamon.
With a pastry blender, cut in butter until very fine. Pare, core and thinly slice apples.
Arrange in an 8-inch square baking dish.
Sprinkle with flour mixture.
Bake in a preheated 400Β° oven until apples are tender and topping is browned, 30 minutes.
Serve hot, topped with vanilla ice cream.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
