Slice apples.

Place sliced apples in a lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.

Combine 1/2 cup sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon. Sprinkle on the sliced apples.

Position plastic mixing blade in food processor bowl; place flour, brown sugar and butter in bowl. Top with cover and process until mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle mixture over apples.

Bake, uncovered, at 300Β° for 1 hour.

Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.
