Apple-Chocolate Cake

Stir sugar into apples and let stand 15 minutes.
Mix in oil and then eggs.
Mix together flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt and stir into apple mixture.
Add chocolate chips and mix (mixture will be stiff).
Spoon into greased 9 x 13-inch pan and bake for 40 minutes in a 350Β° oven until cake tests done.
Best served warm.
