Apple Butter
Apple Butter is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 peck apples, approximately 10 c. sugar, 2 tsp. ground cloves, 4 c. water and 2 tsp. ground cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Quarter and cook apples, unpeeled, with water.
Cover, let simmer until apples are tender.
Run through sieve.
There should be about 5 quarts apple pulp.
Add half as much sugar as you have pulp.
Add spices.
Let simmer 2 hours, stirring frequently.
When thick, pour into hot jars and seal at once.
Remember, apple butter becomes thicker when cold.
Makes 9 or 10 pints.
