Apple Butter
Apple Butter is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 lb. well-flavored apples, stemmed and quartered, 2 c. water, 3 tsp. ground cinnamon, 1 1/2 tsp. ground cloves and 1/2 tsp. ground allspice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cook apples in water until soft.
Strain pulp.
Blend in blender until smooth.
To each cup of pulp, add 1/2 cup sugar. Stir in remaining ingredients.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture sheets from spoon (usually 45 minutes to 1 hour).
Pour into hot sterilized jars.
Store in cool dry place.
