Apple Butter
Apple Butter is an easy dinner. Made with 1 to 1 1/2 gal. cider or apple juice, 20 to 25 medium-large apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1/8's, white sugar (optional), cinnamon (optional) and cloves (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Boil cider or juice until reduced by 1/2.
Add apples.
Cook 1/2 hour or until tender.
Put apples through food press and return to pan.
Cook again until thickened.
Add sugar and spices (if desired) to taste and cook until sugar is dissolved.
Follow canning instructions from your canner to process.
