Apple Bread
Apple Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1/2 c. shortening, 2 eggs, 1 tsp. vanilla and 2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Heat oven to 350Β°.
Grease and flour a loaf pan (9 x 5 x 3-inches or 2 small ones).
Mix 1 cup sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla.
Cream well.
Stir in flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Stir in apples and nuts.
Spread in pan.
Mix 1 tablespoon sugar and the cinnamon. Sprinkle over the batter.
Bake until it tests done, 50 to 60 minutes.
Immediately remove from pan and thoroughly cool.
Store tightly covered.
