Apple Bread
Apple Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 c. chopped nuts, 1 tbsp. sugar and 1/2 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Heat oven to 350Β°.
Grease and flour a loaf pan.
Mix 1 cup sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla.
Stir in flour until smooth. Stir in apple and nuts.
Spread in pan.
Mix 1 tablespoon sugar with cinnamon; sprinkle over batter.
Bake until toothpick put in center comes out clean, approximately 50 to 60 minutes. Immediately remove from pan; cool bread before slicing.
