Apple Bars
Apple Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. sliced apples, 1 c. sifted flour, 1/4 c. sugar, 1/3 c. shortening and 2 tbsp. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Sift flour and salt; add brown sugar and oatmeal; mix.
Cut in shortening until crumbly.
Spread half of the mixture in greased pan.
Dot with butter.
Add sliced apples and sprinkle with sugar. Cover with remaining mixture.
Cook at 350Β° for 40 to 50 minutes. Cut into bars.
