Apple Bars

Sift flour and salt together.
Add brown sugar and oatmeal. Cut in butter.
Spread half in pan and press.
Dot with butter. Spread apples and sprinkle with regular sugar.
Cover with remaining crumbs.
In 8 x 8 pan bake in 350Β° oven for 40 to 50 minutes.
