Sift the first 5 ingredients into ungreased loaf pan, 13 x 9 x 2 1/2-inches.
Level out dry ingredients and pour the oil, vinegar and vanilla over them.
Pour the cold water over and mix thoroughly with a fork.
Do not beat.
Bake in same pan at 350Β° for 40 to 50 minutes. After cake is cool, frost with whipping cream.
