Anisette Knots
Anisette Knots is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 1/2 c. flour, 2 tbsp. baking powder, pinch of salt, 3 eggs and 3/4 c. granulated sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

In bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Toss lightly. Add eggs and sugar, mix well.
Mixture will be crumbly.
Add melted butter, anise extract and warm water.
Stir until mixture forms ball.
Knead 5 minutes until smooth.
Cook in fridge 1 hour.
Pinch off pieces of dough size of walnuts and roll into logs.
Tie into knots, shape and place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350Β° for about 25 minutes until slightly brown.
