Beat eggs and sugar.
Sift flour and add baking powder; work in butter.
Combine egg and sugar mixture to flour and knead 5 to 10 minutes until smooth.
Roll into loaves.
Brush with egg glaze. Bake for 15 minutes in moderate oven at 375° to 400°.
Cool very slightly; slice, rebake until golden brown.
Cookie is hard.
