Cut butter into flour.

In a separate bowl, combine egg yolks, salt and rum. Combine.

Knead dough on a floured board. This can also be done in a bread machine or pasta maker.

Let the dough set in a bowl for about 30 minutes.

Roll out a small about of dough, about 1/8 inch thick.

The thinner the dough the better. Cut into strips about 1 X 4 inches long.

Pull one end through the slit.

Fry in hot oil a few at a time.

Drain.

Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
