Angel Tea Ring
Angel Tea Ring is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 egg yolks, beaten, 3/4 c. sugar, 1 level tbsp. flour, 1 1/2 c. milk and 1 tbsp. gelatin, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Mix first 4 ingredients; cook until thick.
Have gelatin ready, dissolved in cup of cold water.
Add to hot mixture.
When cool, add vanilla, lemon extract and cream that has been whipped. Cut angel food cake in half and put mixture between halves and over all of cake as if to ice.
Serve plain or sprinkle with coconut.
Make and refrigerate the day before serving.
Serves 16 to 18.
