Angel Mousse
Angel Mousse is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (6 oz.) pkg. nestle chocolate morsels, 2 eggs, 2 tbsp. sugar, 1/2 angel food cake and 1 large carton cool whip or 1 carton d-zerta whip, whipped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Put chocolate morsels in double boiler over boiling water. Stir until melted.
Separate eggs and whip whites stiff and yolks slightly.
Take chocolate mixture off stove and add yolks of eggs, beaten and return to double boiler for 5 minutes.
Take off the stove; fold in small amounts of whipped cream and egg whites until well blended.
Break 1/2 of angel cake in bite-size pieces; place in bottom of 8 x 8-inch pan.
Pour chocolate mixture over all. Chill several hours or overnight.
Sprinkle with grated chocolate and cut in 9 pieces.
